Hey everybody! We are slowly getting closer to summer, but it looks like our winter is hitting late. We are extending our cocoa bar until we believe the winter has come to an end.
We are changing our drink mix concentrates and our shrubs to be sold in the tall bottles like our large syrups. Not all have been changed, but they we will be soon. These will still be the same price as lemonade concentrates. Below is a list of items and prices. Note that our shrub prices have changed, and we added a stevia one for a dollar more. Not only are the prices listed below, each bottle has a sticker with the correct price and we are working on a sign to go by the product.
WHENEVER CHECKING OUT A CUSTOMER WITH ONE OF THESE ITEMS DOUBLE CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE, FLAVOR, AND TYPE OF PRODUCT.
Not charging the correct amount can lose the business money or overcharge the customer.
Drink Mix Concentrates in tall bottle: $10.95
Large Syrup Bottle: $10.95
Small Syrup Bottles: $7.95
Stevia Shrubs: $13.96
Elderberry Syrup: $8.95
The last one listed above is a new medicinal type of syrup which is a dollar more than the normal small syrups. There is an opened bottle in the fridge. Please make a small sample with water heated to become familiar with it.
Below I have added health benefits of the elderberry syrup that each employee needs to become familiar with to inform and sell to customers. A copy of this info is also in the policies binder and will stay for a few weeks until the information is known throughout all employees.
Elderberry, or elder, has been used for centuries to treat wounds, when applied to the skin. It is also taken by mouth to treat respiratory illnesses such as cold and flu.
Some evidence suggests that chemicals in elder flower and berries may help reduce swelling in mucous membranes, including the sinuses, and help relieve nasal congestion. Elder may have antiinflammatory, antiviral, anti-influenza, and anticancer properties.
Elderberry also contains flavonoids, which have antioxidant properties and may help prevent damage to the body's cells. In fact, elderberry outranks blueberries, cranberries, goji berries, and blackberries in terms of total flavonol content.
Elderberry may help treat cold and flu symptoms by reducing congestion and possibly making you sweat more. Another preliminary study found that a lozenge with elderberry extract (ViraBLOC) helped reduce flu symptoms when taken within 24 hours of symptoms starting.
Finally, everyone has been doing a great job at using the binder and signing off on the tasks list. In addition, we will also be posting to the to do list on the iPad for tasks needed done on specific days. There is a notification for when it is updated, but to make sure nothing is missed, please check this hourly each day and mark off anything completed.
